Pc Christopher Gudgeon to Appear in Court Following Off-Duty Allegations

A serving officer with the Metropolitan Police, Pc Christopher Gudgeon, has been charged with sexual assault after an incident that occurred while he was off-duty. The charge was issued by postal requisition on July 9.

Pc Gudgeon, who is assigned to the Met’s Central South Basic Command Unit, is accused of the sexual assault following a report made to authorities. The Metropolitan Police’s directorate of professional standards has been notified of the charge, and it has been confirmed that Gudgeon is currently on restricted duties while the legal process unfolds.

Gudgeon is scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on July 31 to face the charges.
