New exhibition to feature replica sets, props, and costumes, opening June 10.
ITV has announced the launch of the Coronation Street Experience, set to open on June 10, offering fans an immersive journey into the world of the iconic soap. The exhibition will run seven days a week and will feature replica sets, original props, and costumes from the long-running series.
Visitors can take a seat in Roy’s Rolls, the beloved café owned by Roy Cropper, or stand behind the bar at the famous Rovers Return pub. The experience will complement ITV’s existing 90-minute tour, which began in 2014 and has already attracted fans from across the globe.
The new exhibition aims to deepen the fan experience by providing up-close access to memorabilia like Deirdre’s infamous glasses and other iconic items from the show. Neil Currie, the guest experience manager, emphasized that the exhibition will evolve over time, with props and costumes changing to reflect ongoing storylines on-screen.
In addition to the classic sets, the exhibition will feature newly updated areas, including access to the Weatherfield Precinct, allowing fans to discover even more secrets from the series.
The Coronation Street Experience promises to offer an enhanced, dynamic way for fans to engage with the soap, as ITV continues to provide a captivating and evolving experience for its dedicated viewers.
