Category: Entertainment
Disney+ has announced several exciting new unscripted docu-series set to premiere, including a highly anticipated music documentary about Camden, featuring global star Dua Lipa. The new shows, revealed at Edinburgh’s TV Festival, will offer exclusive insights into various industries and creative talents.
One of the standout projects is Camden, a music documentary series that dives into the impact of the iconic London borough on artists’ lives. The series, overseen by Oscar-winning director Asif Kapadia, includes interviews with music legends such as Mark Ronson, Questlove, Chris Martin, Boy George, Nile Rodgers, and Pete Doherty. The show has been co-produced by Lipa’s production company, Radical22, and directed by Toby Trackman, Yemi Bamiro, and Sarah Lambert.
In addition to Camden, Disney+ will premiere a documentary series titled In Vogue, which takes viewers behind the scenes of the legendary fashion publication. Featuring A-list personalities like Marc Jacobs, Victoria Beckham, Jean Paul Gaultier, Kim Kardashian, and more, the series will explore the magazine’s cultural influence, with a special focus on the fashion scene of the Nineties.
The slate also includes World War Shoe: Adidas vs. Puma, a series that delves into the fierce competition between the two brands, founded by German brothers Adi and Rudi Dassler. Featuring sports icons like Usain Bolt, Neymar, and Zinedine Zidane, and with David Beckham as an executive producer, the docu-series will explore how the rivalry shaped both the sportswear industry and the athletes’ world.
Another notable release is Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, presented by Keanu Reeves, which tells the remarkable tale of Brawn GP’s unexpected 2009 World Championship victory. With drivers Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, the series highlights the challenges faced by a small team that outperformed the likes of Ferrari and McLaren in one of the most dramatic seasons in F1 history.
The announcement follows Disney+’s recent release of the first-look images from its highly anticipated docu-series Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, which has already sparked significant online buzz.
